Why I’d love to work for BC parks foundation:
BC parks have played a pivotal role in my life. From family camping trips at Shuswap Lake Provincial Park to exploring Mount Robson Provincial Park to getting engaged at Smuggler Cove Marine Provincial Park, these parks have been my escape, my teacher, and the backdrop for some of my most cherished moments.
Protecting and promoting our parks is a cause I deeply believe in, and I am excited about the opportunity to inspire others to appreciate and support these beautiful natural spaces. I am passionate about using digital marketing to connect people with experiences that add value to their lives.
I am motivated to join the BC Parks Foundation because of its mission and the chance to work with a small, dedicated team on something we all believe in. The opportunity to collaborate closely with like-minded individuals and add to the great work the Foundation is already doing is one I don’t want to miss. I am excited to bring my skills and passion to the Foundation, helping to protect and promote the parks that mean so much to me and many others.

While at Thompson Rivers University (TRU), I have helped make significant strides in growing our digital impact. in the past 4 years, I have streamlined the student experience and boosted organic inquiries. My efforts have helped foster digital communities and increased engagement across our Email and social platforms. I have driven growth and maximized ROI by implementing targeted digital marketing strategies and innovative solutions, ensuring TRU's continued success and impact. Below are a few accomplishments.

Ensuring a seamless digital journey is paramount for any digital marketer. By developing status-based email and notification automation, I dispatched over 70,000 emails annually with an impressive 14% click-through rate (CTR). These strategic communications adeptly guided students to recruiters, virtual events, and direct applications, thus crafting a smooth and efficient user journey.

Cultivating organic inquiries is the foundation of sustainable growth. By implementing and optimizing website forms, I catapulted our organic leads from a mere 300 to 8,500 annually. This strategic enhancement not only bolstered our lead generation but also underscored the efficacy of our digital initiatives in attracting prospective students.

By launching and refining campaigns across paid social, search, and email channels, I attempted to optimize each touchpoint. These collective enhancements increased the percentage of applicants whose first interaction was our website from 5% to over 20%. This comprehensive strategy, marked by a series of full-funnel optimizations, drove significant growth and showcased a positive return on investment.

I grew up exploring the unceded lands of the Tk'emlúps te Secwépemc, where my love for the outdoors was nurtured through countless adventures in hiking and camping. These experiences instilled in me a profound appreciation for nature.
In 2019, I moved to Vancouver which has provided me with countless opportunities to explore the nearby mountains, forests, and coastline, further deepening my connection to the environment. The city's dynamic atmosphere has also been a catalyst for my professional growth, inspiring me to merge my love for nature with my marketing career.
My passion for marketing began with an interest in videography, which initially led me to create commercials. Over time, my focus has evolved, and I now find great satisfaction in brand development, strategy, and fostering teamwork. I thrive on the challenge of connecting people with valuable offerings and crafting compelling narratives that resonate with audiences.
